CONSTRUCTION

External weather resistant isophthalic polyester resin gel coat, with a cored glassfibre reinforced polyester resin laminated.  The cores are generally plywood or insulating polyurethane foam.  Various construction options are available, either as standard or specials, to suit individual applications.

Lightduty Model – construction suited to smaller enclosures in a friendly environment.

Standard Model This is the most popular type, having an encapsulated 12mm. thick plywood core in the side panels and a polyurethane foam core in the roof.

Insulated Model This achieves a ‘U’ value of 0.6W/m2/0c/hr., by having a encapsulated core of polyurethane foam.

Various other materials and resins can be used to meet with special requirements or regulations.

ASSEMBLY

The panels and roof of the GRP4 Enclosures are bolted together internally, each joint being weather sealed.

Small Enclosures can be delivered ready assembled, whilst larger ones will be erected on site, normally by ourselves.

All assembly and fixing screws, nuts, etc., are of stainless steel.

INSTALLATION

The preferred fixing is to use a rebated edge to concrete base and screed over the gap after fixing down.

The alternative is to use a flat concrete slab and seal the joint with mastic filler.

In both instances, the base must be smooth, flat and level.  The base should be 200mm larger than the internal dimensions of the enclosure.

The enclosure is secured down internally with stainless steel coach screws and plastic plugs.
